Travis Wicklund is a dynamic media composer, renowned for his innovative approach to the intersection of music, film, and interactive media. Travis recently earned his M.F.A. in Media Scoring from Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema in New York City. His portfolio includes scoring for a variety of short films and commercials, showcasing his versatility and creative expertise. In recognition of his talent, he was selected for the prestigious 2023/24 Society of Composers and Lyricists mentorship program.
Before venturing into media composition, Travis made a mark as a certified Ballroom and Latin dancer, traveling nationwide to teach, compete, and choreograph. He holds a B.A. in Communications Creative Media with a Music Minor from Marymount Manhattan College, where he created "Time Pieces," an interactive art installation that won the audience award. This project exemplified his ability to merge video, sound, and sensors, creating a participatory experience through the use of Arduino and Max/MSP/Jitter. Continuing his passion for interactive media, Travis developed a 2D game for his MFA thesis, where he not only designed the game but also composed and integrated its music. With certifications in Pro Tools and Audiokinetic’s Wwise, Travis brings a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic vision to his work. His genuine passion for games and interactive experiences drives him to create compelling audio landscapes. |
